art history, victorian art writing, victorian portraiture
Sarah Hook holds an undergraduate degree in Art History and English from the University of St Andrews, and completed her masters in English literature (1800-1914) at Oxford University. She then went on to complete her PhD at Oxford, with a project entitled 'Reading the Gallery: Portraits and Texts in the Mid- to Late Nineteenth Century'. She currently works for the Marian Goodman Art Gallery.
